TELKOM is the most pathetic company in south africa they transfer you 50 times and eventually you just put down the phone with no joy.This happens every time when you move your account is never right and numbers just dont get cancelled and this is the 4th time off moving this has happened and with following the right procedure. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As the Broad band connection server, the connection is bad and extremely expensive by any standards.
The response time is bad, why don't they employ more staff in these times of high unemployment, as a parastatal company they should be more socially active.
The attitude of the respondents is often very offhand and unsympathetic.

Have encountered very poor service in the past from speaking to someone in the call centre right through to management level. Turn around time is very slow. I am glad that Neotal have come on board to make the market more competition friendly.

Their services are both good and bad. Their turn around time to solve problems and deliver services is far too long at times. The way they structure their fees is very misleading as well. Overall, ADSL and always been able to make a phonecall is a reason why I'm sticking with them for now.

I purchased a cordless phone from Telkom in July 2006, I then swapped it for another one a couple months later. I was now recently in JHB for 2 weeks and upon my return I find that I can not register my handset to the base, when I went to the Telkom shop in Canal Walk to query this, they said that it past its warranty period which is a year and that they would not be able to even send it in for repairs - what good is that, I now have a paper weight, be nice if Telkom would look into something like that...

i have seldom had anything except exceptional service from telkom. i don't think they are to blame for being a monopoly, either. however, it will be VERY good to see some decent internet packages in SA...
